Hello Everyone!

I was just informed that I have an interview at the New England College of Optometry. Is anyone aware of any previous threads about what to expect in that interview? Id appreciate any extra info from anyone that already went through the process.

I applied to NECO last December, but I have not received any information yet. I know my file is complete. Could you tell me when did you apply and how they notified you about the interview by letter or phone. Congratulations

hi! i had an interview there on the 13th... so still pretty fresh in my mind; it was a very laid back kind of day... the people there are super nice and the day is laid out in a schedule for you; you basically sit in a room with other interviewees all day and hear presentations on housing, financial aid, their program... you take a tour of the school and a little interview; mine was about half an hour and it was more like a chat than anything else...
i really wouldnt worry too much; it seems more like they are trying to sell their program to you; since youve gotten to the interview you are probably as competitive as anyone else and they seem to care more about competing with other schools you may be interviewing at ... really dont stress about it... no essay to write... 🙂

Hey mayb,

I sent in my whole application late September but i still had the October OAT to take and some prereq. classes to finish. They recieved those the first week of january and I just called in from time to time to check and see if everything is on track. I called yesterday to check again and the admissions counslor notified me that an interview letter was sent out that day and she gave me all the dates and info.

Call them up on their 800 number and ask about your status. Theyre very helpful. Goodluck!
