I've been an active reader for a few weeks now and decided to join to ask and share advice. Right now I'm doing engineering (computer) and just realized I wanted to switch career choices and become a dentist. I currently have a 2.7 gpa and 3 semesters left for my BS. I'm working hard on bringing it above a 3.2 before I graduate. The only science classes I've taken is physics 1 (D)and 2 (A)and calc 1&2. I've been thinking I should do a masters/ or post bacc but wasn't sure which one. I've been reading alot about the masters at UMDNJ since I'm from NY. With my stats I'm unsure of which schools will be wanting me. I'm open to all doors, my entire focus right now is getting my gpa back on track since I messed up my earlier years. Any advice is appreciated, along with specific schools and programs that maybe a good fit for me. Thank you

If you crest 3.0, I don't see why an SMP would be out of your reach.

I think most schools require a C or better for a pre-req so you might need to retake physics. Yeah, but since you only have those classes in your science GPA, you could really raise it up nicely in these next semesters.

Best of luck to you! 😀
