I'm so sorry for this but I dno't have a statistics book and my professor didn't explain to us how to do this so maybe someone here can help? I know I knew this at one point but I can't remember what to do.

What is the error if you divide one number with an error by another number wiht an error?

E.g. (100 +/-10)/(200 +/-30) = 0.5 +/-?

Thanks

Take the min and max:
min: 90/230 =~ .3913
max = 110/170 =~ .6471

As you can see, it doesn't vary by the same amount in both directions.
So you can't say 0.5 +/- something.
You can say .5192 +/- .1279.
