i have a week and a half until my test. i'm slacking. sitting at my desk for 2 months is getting to me. there's no way i'm ready yet. i'm not crying, i just need some motivation please.

That's strange hah. Most people seem to get more done as their test gets closer! With 1.5 weeks left, you can practically see the finish line so don't let up the gas just yet. I'm sure if you've studied for 2 months, you'll be okay. Mind as well finish strong though:laugh:. Have you done practice tests and whatnot?
Go for it👍

My test is one the 28th too (2 weeks exactly). All I'm thinking about though is how drunk I'm gonna be after I take my test lol. Not sure if that'll help you tho.

Yeah, mines in ~2weeks and that's exactly what I keep telling myself ha

How's this for a big kick in the nuts??? lol

i think he said "a kick in the pants"... not the nuts... why would he be asking for that.

kneecoli, just hit some review. get the flashcards out, get the kaplan sheets, your notes, and just reward yourself for every page or something. you just need to keep grinding. you're right there and the last week is gonna pay big. take the day before the test off, and get yourself psyched.

i've got a week until my exam, and although im not in tip-top yet, im right around it. when i used to swim competitively, i almost never felt ready the few practices leading up to the big meet, but when that day came, i was feeling in peak form. i think it's going to work out the same way with this thing. im going thru the destroyer a second time and hope to complete round 2 by friday, then ill have 3 days to taper off with some light review and maybe a CDP here and there, one 'nothing' day, then gametime.

so man up sally. get bak in the zone. you have two weeks left.

Look how far you've come since you started 2 months ago. How would you feel if you had the test in a week and a half and you only knew what you did a month ago? Not focusing on "it could be worse", just telling you to look back to see how far you've come. Next, take control of the time you have remaining. Plan each of the remaining days on your calender with study blocks, breaks and practice questions. Plan some PATs for each of the last 3-5 days at the time of the day you will be taking them on D-day. Spend a few minutes planning on how you want to keep what you have (your strengths) and how you will grab an extra point or two or three in each section come test day by improving on your weaknesses (we all have them)

lol, thanks for the words of encouragement. i mean it. i would like to address a few things though:

the reason i asked for a kick in the pants in lieu of a kick in the nuts is because i have no nuts. i am a "she." and a kick in the nuts sounds counterproductive (to the other poster).

and while i can and will "man up," you might have offended any poor girl out there named sally. not really, but it always amuses me when people automatically refer to me on this forum as a guy, even though my user name really points to a girl if you think about it for 10 seconds.

and now i will get back to my animal behavior.

keep it coming guys, i think it's working!!

thanks, i think i could definitely use some structure. i'll make a plan later before i go to sleep!

if you put on a thick chinese accent, "nicole" sounds like "kneecoal"... hai KNEEcoal u rery fo DAT?

apologies in advance to anyone who may be offended from the "man up" comment as well as one possible way a person of foreign origin might pronounce the name "nicole" or inquire as to her preparedness for the DAT.

KneeCoal lol nice ......... I honestly gave up figuring out people's name/gender's from their usernames a long time ago. Ex: my username is Shinpe. Most people think I'm asian because of that nickname, but it's actually my initials in Farsi. no one ever gets it though so whatever.

Good luck with it either way ..........

As an Asian, I found your comment extremely offensive, and plan to cry myself to sleep at night. Thanks, whitey.

Hmmmm...How about this:
My car broke down 2 weeks before my exam. I spent an entire week going back from one mechanic shop to another just to get it fixed.
The last week came around and I got lazy. I promised myself to do all the QR problems in destroyer, but that never happened.
I studied less than an hour during the last week altogether.
Went in the exam and came out with decent scores.
It's completely normal to get somewhat lazy after spending 2 months studying. So, if you need to take a day or two off to relax, then do it. You've worked hard, so you deserve it.
Good Luck!👍

If you don't think you are ready there is a reason. You should be able to gauge how well you know the material based on what you are still getting wrong on practice tests and problems. Just think about getting your scores back and remembering the time you wasted when you could have been studying. You put 2 months in, whats another week?

Take a day off. Go do something you have been wanting to do that you haven't been able to for the last few months and tomorrow get back at it, bright and early.
