Need Advice....NYU vs. UNLV

Hello All. Can somebody help me make a decision between NYU vs. UNLV?

Thanks

NYU = Expensive, exciting city and cultural life, ghetto location, older facilities, large class

UNLV=Cheaper (1/2 the cost), somewhat exciting city, nicer location, new facilities, desert

Do you value the cultural experience and excitement of NYC enough to pay the difference?

UNLV is gonna be awesome 👍...That's all I have to say.

(mainly because I don't know anything about NYU)

Yeah, you're right, I've never been to NYU. My comments were based on what I have heard from other students in the past. Looking at the virtual tour on the NYU website shows that I was mistaken. My apologies.

However, it is still twice as expensive as UNLV, which has just as up to date facilities. So that has to be considered in this equation, unless money isn't an issue.

I was actually accepted to both schools. I am going to be attending UNLV mostly because of the class size. I just didn't feel I would get the right amount of attention I want from a dental school. Over 200 students at NYU versus 80 at UNLV. Competition is stupid at this level and I didn't feel like anyone cared about me, just another number.

I think the integrated curriculum is awesome too. It seems like it would make studying more beneficial and useful in practice. Also its geared towards audio visual learners, with lots of tech used on a daily basis.

I really really loved NY when I was there, but for me, Dschool was the reason I would be there and that's what I want to focus on. Plus, its Vegas baby!

UNLV's facilities are not anything to be overlooked. The school is really new so all the equipment is fresh. All the faculty seem pretty laid back and everything I've heard makes it seem like everyone is chill and loves the school.

Cost is a big thing too. Even though I got a scholarship to NYU it was still way more than UNLV. (You get in state tuition after a year at UNLV)
