Need Advice on what to do, Please Help

DAT scores: AA 18 TS 19 BIO 18 GCHEM 18 OCHEM 20 QR 18 RC 17 PAT 21
OVERAL GPA 3.45 SCI 3.0

I have good extracurricular work as well as LOR's.

Any opinions, on what you think I should do? Should I apply to a bunch of schools and see my chances? retake DAT?

I am also going to be taking more science classes to boost my GPA.

I would re-take the DAT. Although your scores aren't bad, your science GPA is definitely a bit on the low side. I would take a few classes to try to improve that as well as a DAT retake. Good luck, don't give up!

I agree with avangusva. A DAT retake would be your best bet... bump your AA/TS to a 20 or 21 (and get a higher RC score), and you will have a much better shot since higher scores will offset your sGPA. Taking more science classes to boost your GPA will also only help you 🙂 It's up to you in terms of whether or not you want to apply, largely in part depending on how much money you want to spend. I applied to 15 schools and spent around $1300 for AADSAS processing fees alone, not counting supplemental fees for individual schools. Regardless, boosting your DAT scores and sGPA will definitely give your application more weight, and I think you would be able to feel way more confident applying next cycle with better stats than late in this cycle with average stats. Making bare minimum requirement and expecting to get lucky isn't a good idea. Get that sci GPA up to 3.3 and apply to be safe.
