my first mcat was 22 (10-6-6) second mcat was 28 (11-6-11), so im waiting for my third mcat from 5/7-im not too confident with this one (my practice average was above 33)

i have a high gpa (3.8+), and good EC's/research, and im a graduating senior, i dont know what to do,

if my scores come back low do i retake the mcat in July? would be the 4th time!

or

Do i apply with what i have, i don't want to apply again next year
and end up taking two years off.

thanks guys...finding it hard to focus on my application

A lot really depends on your score.

If your scores come out low, retaking in July is definitely a stupid idea.

You can apply with what you have, but if you did bad, you should really consider studying hardcore before deciding to retake. Studying for 1 month would not be enough especially if you;ve consistently been doing bad. The mcat isnt a test u can keep retaking until u get the score u want.

It looks like your other sections improved, but why is your verbal so lacking? You should really consider studying up hardcore on verbal. Even if you got a 14-6-14 (34) , your score would not look good due to the imbalance.

yea i hope this time its ok..if not..would a 4th mcat make it impossible to get into MD schools?

You would almost certainly have to take a year off considering by the time your 4th score came out, it would be late in the cycle. I've seen people that have got into an MD school after 5 tries, but I think after 2 is pushing it. Based on your list of schools in your MDApps profile, I can almost guarantee none of those schools will take you with a VR of 6. If you don't make at least an 8, I would consider spending a year doing an SMP and buckle down on your MCAT and knock it out of the park. Whatever you choose, gl.

You need to figure out why you're getting 6's and fix it.

Stat.

11's in PS and BS are great scores. You just can't have a 6 dragging you down.

yea i dont know why i got low verbal scores, but the one on 5/7 was not bad, i was a little rushed in the end...but..im confused on what to do if it comes back low..im already taking a a"year off" i dont know if i should push back my application a whole another year just for a fourth mcat..(thus 2 years "off")..or take it again like late july and apply this year...ahh!

maybe you did okay in your verbal this time around? Don't bother overanalysing the situation now, you may be stressing for nothing. With two 11s in your sciences, i'm pretty sure you did good in those sections.
