I am a high school junior in NJ. NJ has a program called NJ stars which grants students who graduate in the 20% of their class free college tuition to their county's community college and then be able to transfer their credits to a 4 year university. I want to go through this program and then be able to transfer my credits to Xavier University to major in Biology Pre-med program. My question will this program be a detriment to my med school application process since I only went to a four college for 2 years?

Why would you do this? If you're in the top 20% of your class you should be able to get into a 4-year college directly. I wouldn't do this program, but that's just me. BTW, if you have any questions or just want to talk about Xavier, let me know. I graduated from there.

It's better to take your med school prerequisites at a 4-year institution. But you could probably do the first year at a 2-year college and still save yourself some tuition, without messing up your schedule too much. You could also probably take physics at the 2-year and not hurt yourself, really. But do your bio and chemistry at the 4-year.
