I'm 21 and currently attending a community college in AZ. I've always thought I wanted to become a doctor, especially an OB/GYN. Within the last couple of years, I decided to pursue a career as a PA instead. My cousin thinks I should become a NP. I would like to know anyone's thoughts on the PA's role and the NP's role in the OB/GYN community. Do they do the same work? I am mainly interested in OB work. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.😕 😕

What about a Nurse-Midwife? I don't know a lot about the training, but we had several where I did my clerkship, and they functioned pretty autonomously, and (and frankly I think they did a much better job than the residents with uncomplicated deliveries! More mother nature, more time, less pitocin).
