Hello! First of all, I am so excited that I found this website. I have been struggling with the decision to continue my aspirations of becoming a dentist. Heres the dilemma, I obtained a B.S. in 2002 and my GPA is 2.7.
In 2006, I started taking prereqs but got discouraged because I had to withdraw a few times due to military obligations and classes I needed were offered during the day. Therefore changed major and now, I have all these credits that are not science related. One thing that I do have to my advantage is that I have worked in every area of dentistry because I was a dental assistant.

What can I do?

My initial response would be to recommend calling your man Obama and asking him to help you out. Because you know...you obviously helped him. Sarcasm aside. I would finish all remaining prereq's with nothing less than an A. And probably plan to do at least a Master's. If you can't accomplish an A in every class then consider dental hygiene. Or consider DH over a master's. It would take roughly the same amount of time, but you wouldn't be able to work and do DH.
