now days i take my surgery course at collage and i need satisfactory book to study from and i got NMS book and i liked it alot , i like its way which is away from text style , and going easy like mentioning causes and how to diagnose, symptoms ,signs and treatment all in good way like 1,2,3,4
but i find NMS lack some important details like it dont show all important operations in each disease and lack some times cliincal presentation in details and so on
i want book same in its style but have more details and also easy to follow so what is better , mont reid hand book OR surgical recall ?

i want interestion book ,easy to follow and make me shine among all
thanks

Mont Reid is too much information for review but its a good reference to have around.

If you like Q and A style texts the Surg Recall is great, I would get that book before I got any others.

And I should add...holy crap!

iam so thankful to you doctor dynx
but do u see surgical recall is good to be a source of study for written exams or it just good for oral and during rotation ? i mean it also go through clinical presentation and investigation and mangment by good approach, and is it interesting ?

thank u again

Surgical Recall is good for 'pimping' (when doctors ask you questions) but OK for exams. Essentials of General Surgery by Lawrence is recommended to students, but I found it to be a very boring text book. Current Surgical Diagonsis and Treatment would be a good way to go step by step through a disease, or the NMS Casebook since you seem to like that series. Case Files: General Surgery is good for medical student exams as well.
