I am feeling the stress of this application cycle after the supposed "thanksgiving deadline." I got an II in July to my state school, and one in October, but since have only seen Rs and pre-II holds. No As. My stats are decent, LM 75 ORM, over 1000 clinical hours, decent research (no pubs), low volunteering (~200 hours), and currently teaching high school in a low-income area. Still waiting on several schools to answer but I guess I'm just getting nervous with so much silence. Is there a good chance of an interview this late in the cycle still? I guess I just need some positive vibes. Waiting is so difficult....

"Good" chance? Who knows? But there is definitely a chance, and that goes for everyone, not just you. IIs are still going out every day, and will continue to do so until February-March at many schools, while others will be winding down in the next month or so.

The Thanksgiving Rule is really for people with zero IIs to begin to seriously consider the possibility of being a reapplicant, if they were not already doing so. It's not a deadline. Certainly not for having acceptances.

You are doing better than many with 2 IIs, and have a very decent chance of turning at least one of them into an A. A lot of people with zero As today will be M1s next year. This is the most stressful part of the cycle for people with no As, but there honestly is nothing to do except be patient, and be constantly doing things to enhance a potential reapplication.

Yeah I feel ya. I have one “real” II with LM of 73 ORM and it’s probably going to end in as a soft R (on the waitlist currently). The other II I had was given to every IS applicant above a low stat threshold. I was rejected from that school despite my MCAT being in the 90th percentile for matriculants. Didn’t think my interview was that bad but guess not. Both schools ranked 70s and lower according to USNews which is depressing considering I was told I’d be fine to apply to T40s and 30s by my WAMC thread. Rejected from more “safeties” than reaches. I’m already a reapplicant and absolutely dreading doing this a third time.
