First dentist said, I have great teeth other than a few cosmetic filling and a few fillings in my molars. He said one was a possible crown, but he could put a filling in and shape it. I received a full exam/xrays. When I came back for my cleaning a week later. I ask to talk to the dentist about which filling I should do first. A new dentist came in that I had never seen before and started probing my mouth. She came up with the second bill with 5 crowns and some veneers and original filings. I have asked several times for explanation of what is going on they push me out the door to talk to the front desk person who is an dingus and just keeps telling me I signed the form so they obviously talked to me about it. When I asked about the first form, from the first dentist, he only flashed the estimate at me then pulled the file back and changed it to the new one with a ton of added extra work.
So, should I find a new dentist or go with what the second dentist is saying that I need a new mouth full of teeth. I am 24..... I went in originally because I broke a tooth....
Get a second opinion (don't bring that paperwork with you.) I remember I saw a dentist who thought I had a mouth full of cavities (as in every other tooth in need of fixing) - well turned out I didn't have a single cavity. Unbelievable what's going on out there.

Thanks, I defiantly will. The first dentist I saw was very pleased with my teeth and gums. Even the dental hygienist asked me if I used electric too bush because of how little plaque i had on my teeth during my cleaning. Then the second dentist came in and basically told me i need 7 false teeth, when i only have 2 real cavities and one he wrote up because it is an old filling he recommended i could get replaced because it could been seen in my smile.
