Creighton vs. UPenn vs. WesternU vs. ASDOH
I am a very indecisive person. I like them all.
Cost aside.
I am from southern Cali and live an hour from WesternU. However, I do look at this as an opportunity to explore a new place for 4 years. I do plan on coming back to California.
I may want to specialize which is one of the reasons why UPenn sounds so enticing. For example, in 2016, 23 people matched in ortho, 12 pedo, 12 OMFS, 5 endo (based on a sheet they gave us at the interview). However this could be from the fact that people that go to UPenn already know they want to specialize rather than the school putting students in a better position to specialize.
Also, the dean at ASDOH told us 34 people matched into ortho a few years back. I loved the area around ASDOH. Very suburban. Block curriculum here as well.
Should the thought of specializing factor into my decision?
Creighton offers phenomenal clinical experience from what I have heard and the people I have talked to.
Any thoughts appreciated
