Need help from VCOM'ers about FLIGHT

Hi VCOM students... I am going to be flying to VCOM from Los Angeles for an interview. I understand Roanoke is the closest airport but the flights are in excess of $500+. Any advice on where else to fly or should I just lay the money and go direct to Roanoke? Thank you in advance!

You can also fly into the Piedmont Triad airport which serves, greensboro, Wintson Salem, and High Point. It is about 160 miles away. You can also fly into Charleston, WVa, which is about a 2 and 1/2 hour drive. However think about how tired you will be after flying across the USA, so you might very well want to spend the extra money and fly to Roanoke and then only have a 30 mile drive. It might be way easier on yourself.

We have a number of people in our class from the West Coast and as far as I know all of them fly in and out of Roanoke.

I would pay the extra and not have a long drive ahead of me.

Good luck. VCOM is great and the interview will be very laid back.
