I am just about finished with my post-bacc courses and would like to email a few professors about letters of recommendation. Is there some kind of template I can use on the proper way of asking for them? Also, how do I go about asking them to use Interfolio?

You can just ask them, chances are they are familiar with writing letters of evaluation.

Have you signed up for Interfolio already? If so, just fill out their info under "request letter" and it will send them an email with a link to upload the letter.

It isn't complicated for them to use right? and only I pay?

They would have to do the same thing if they uploaded it directly to the AADSAS application anyway. I'm hoping they know how to save the letter, read their email, click the link that leads them to Interfolio, and upload the file.

Yes, only you pay.

So to follow up, there is no special format you guys used to ask your professor in an email? Can I just kindly ask them or do I need to go into my whole academic history etc?

Kindly ask them, they may want you to provide materials to help them such as personal statement, transcript, resume/CV, due date, etc.

But I only supply those if I am asked for them, correct?

Yeah, depends on the professor, they may know you well enough to just write it outright. On the other hand, if a professor doesn't know you too well, a more personal letter may be written if a personal statement is available to explain your motivations for pursuing dentistry.

Would I have to give them my actual personal statement I am going to use or can it be something simple i send them
