need help on essay about optometrist

okay so im taking enlish 104 critical thinking class in summer and my professor told us to make a cons and pros for the carrier that you are interested in


so im writing about optometrist and here are my thoughts,
pros: good money
can make your own practice
flexible hours (obviously)
don't have as much as stress as dentists, pharmacist and surgeons

cons: hard to get in
have to deal with blind people (no offense)
tuition is kinda high

do you guys have any more?? i need to present both sides of the argument. here some of the stuff that it would definitely help me

1.what is the average gpa to get in(i know everywhere is diff but what is the AVERAGE????)
2.do you like your job/to be a optometrist? state your reasons in short
3.what are the disgusting stuff that you have to deal with that you would rather not to???( no offense again)

i dono you guys are wiser than me, and by the way i really want to become a optometrist and this thread should help a lot of people who are still doing their bachelor

Are you interested in optometry or dental? since your status is Pre-Dent.

For all the information you seek you should do research (as you probably will need to quote or cite a website or something...and not a forum where people tell you their opinions)

By the way, no offense but you might want to fix up your grammar.
Also do more research on pros and cons...some of the things you have listed arent
really "pros" and "cons"...for example: as you mention "working with blind people"
(even though there is much more to a profession...its like saying dentists only deal
with people whose breath smell or dont have white teeth)

also things like the stress factor...someone correct me if im wrong but isnt that an
opinion? I would imagine an optometrists that has multiple private practices has more
stress than a dentist employed by the military or something (just saying that in that
case there are a lot of things the dentist does not have to worry about).

you are right but i just wanted to get some ideas like some pros and cons. thats all thank you for the link though, im reading it now
