Dear friends,
I took CPJE on 8/6/2015 during QA period, got result yesterday and I could not make it this time, got 71.
I can retake CPJE after 11/6/2015 now. I want to know when should I schedule for this exam. Will the board has another QA in coming December? I don't want to stuck it in again. I will appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.

I don't have an answer for you but we're in the same boat. I got my letter on 10/16. I scored a whopping 74. So annoying to have to put your whole life on hold for one point. I am eligible to retake the exam 11/22. I hope someone can shed some light on moving forward.

Reply from CABOP:

Another QA in December is unlikely; however, there is no way for us to predict with certainty when the next QA period will begin.

Based on previous years, there was QA period every December.

I think you should take it again only when you're fully prepared...I mean why rush to take the exam (just to not fall in QA) when you're not ready. So if you think you'll be ready, then schedule for the end of Nov - just in case another QA comes up in Dec. You can always reschedule the exam.

I'm on the process of studying for mine too. I waited a few weeks after my NAPLEX (not a good idea) & now slowly picking it back up. Seriously not sure when I'll be ready. But hopefully by the end of Nov.

Hi NaplexRx,

Thanks for your input.

Hey guys, yeah I was wondering when the next QA was too. I actually e-mailed them and got the same response as QTC. I just took the naplex last friday and hoping to be able to take the CPJE by next week.

Hey vtc....I rescheduled the exam till mid Dec since I'm still not ready yet (let's hope there won't be QA in Dec). How's study going for you? When do you plan to take yours?

Hi,

I am taking my CPJE next Monday.. Based on your experience, do you think RxPrep was enough for the clinical part of the exam?? Gosh, I feel like I'll never be ready for this darn exam 🙁

I took my CPJE mid Nov and honestly, I think it's easier than NAPLEX. I'm worried for my result because I made some stupid mistake but I felt the clinical part is not as difficult as Naplex. No big long case scenario, no biostat, only one correct answer out of 4. yes, some questions can be tricky, may look like there are two correct answers and I just had to guess on luck. A few name brand/generic match. The reason I am worried is because there are only 75 questions counts and missing a few is going to hurt the total score. begging for luck that the one I missed are the one doesn't count 🙁

Hi jkminz,

As per my experience, RxPrep is enough for clinical part. All the best.

Hello, I take the exam on Thursday. I'm a bit of a mess but doing alot better than the first time I took it. When I first took it honestly, I counted 30 questions I didn't know the answer to on the exam and I still made 74. I feel OK this time. Still alot I wish I could do but I haven't worked in couple weeks just off studying for this darn exam. I need to get on with it.
