I have just graduated from a community college with an AA degree and I will be Transferring to Colorado State University as a pre-med student. As of now my GPA is 3.2. I have about two years of school left before graduating with a BS, so I know I have plenty of time to get my GPA up. My question is, will having to go to community college for my first two years of school hurt my chances of getting into a medical school? Also, my state residency is in Colorado and we only of one Public Med School, that also happens to be very competitive nationally. Does anyone have any recommendations for private medical schools that offer abundant financial aid and a tuition that is not far from a public school? My final concern is that I am now 23 years old and by the time i will be ready to start med school i will be between 26 and 27, is my age going to be a disadvantage?
