Need Help With CBT registration

I have rgistered for CBT online about a week ago. I have received confirmation in the e-mail but I am still waiting for the confirmation via postal mail, to call and schedule a date with prometric.
😕
My question is am I on the right track or am I missing something here....does it take more than a week for them to send me a confirmation via post??🙄

Please help me with this confusion.

No, you are not going to get any confirmation by snail mail. Whatever confirmation you got by email take a copy of that, 2 forms of id and you are ready. That's all you need. Good luck with your preparation and your exam.

Well, u will get a letter from ADA with yr id no. and how to schedule date with prometric. So just wait for few more days. Give the post some time to reach you.

I didnt get anything for CBT. You do everything online. I think you are talking about PBT. But maybe I am wrong.

I took CBT last year and I got a hard copy letter from the ADA stating my id no. and details on how to schedule an appt with prometric, what to carry with me etc.

Not to be a jerk or anything, but I registered a couple months back (June 2006 to be precise) and I scheduled it online, a week after I got the confirmation email. I dont remember getting anything from them. Again maybe I am wrong. We just have to use our SSN as the id number to schedule the date with prometric. That's what I remeber doing and if I am wrong I have very poor memory😀 !!

Hi,yes!!..g3k u are right. i did the same. i didnt get any letter from ada. i simply took the print out of the confirmation i got,with 2 ids..thts it.

Hi:

I took Part 1 CBT on sept. 18-06....(one week ago). I registered and paid online with credit card. I got a letter from ADA about 2 weeks after I registered, it shows an 1800 phone number to call the prometric center and schedule your test....

hi,
ada will give u a 1-800 number. u call the prometric center...or u can even register online. [I registered online]. The link might be given in the email u got. if u dont have let me know i'll send it. Go to tht link.Find a test center near ur place. See if a test date u prefer is available. then register using ur confirmation no. u can use ur credit card to pay.
thts it. the email confirmation u get from prometric center..print it. take tht to the center alongwith ur passport,drivers license,state id..any 2 IDs...and ur done.

again, i didnt get letter from ada after i registered for the test at prometric center. i took my test in july 2006.and u can even re-sechedule ur test date online.

i am confused about something ,, what do you mean by CBT ?

is it computer based toefl or you are applying for computarized exam of NBDE ?
As far as I know there is no more computer based toefl . it is now iBT

Am I right ?

can we register for the computarized NBDE any time in the year or there is definit dates for the exam ?

I would be greatful if you guys can answer my quistions .

CBT-computer based test....here we are talking about NBDE.
Yes if u r taking CBt, u can register anytime of the year.

u don't need to pay any more . just call ada to ask them if ur application has been processed usually they send e mail only after the application is processed. now u can call prometric center at 1800 688 5804 to schedule ur appointment .that's the way it worked for me .
