I posted this somewhere else but no one seems to be replying, so basically ill be asking the same thing

1. What is the general rule for this? I read the directions and it seems as though as long as the object fits through the hole then it will be fine.

HOWEVER, for example, there is a cube with a hollowed out cylinder in the center, should I choose the square keyhole? or the other square keyhole with a shaded circle in the middle? I guess what I am saying is do they want a PERFECT FIT? because when I just go for the "fit" instead of the perfect fit, I get it wrong on cRACK DAT.

2. if there are two objects shown, they are suppose to always touch each other right?

3. The last one is about cubes' painted sides instead of keyhole
when two cubes are touching, but only on the height of the corners, does that count as continuous?

I would post pictures but crack DAT is not letting me prnt screen, so i dunno if its my keyboard or what lol

if anyone owns the crack dat PAT

for the cube ones i am talking about they are on test 2

for 64-66, its already talked about in sama's thread. he states that if the cube behind the tower is NOT there, then the structure wouldnt be continuous

HOWEVER
for 70-72 (also test 2), on the left side, there are also two levels of cubes connected by the corners, BUT the answer seems to imply that there are no cubes hidden to connect those two

so i am confused

I will find the keyhole problems i am having then post, ty in advance

well CDP is a bit harder/trickier with the cube counting section in order to try and purposely trick you up

and for keyholes i think it is best fit, but also you have to make sure it is the best best fit like if the shade in the middle doesn't work out with the object, then the plain square one would be best

but CDP is a really good resource to use regardless

My test did not have anything like that. Cube counting is WAY easier on the real thing. I think the most cubes I had was 17-18 in one figure but most were somewhere around 13-15. They are easy too. No illusions or anything...CDP is spot on though for most sections. When I was taking the DAt i felt like I was taking another CDP test just with easier cube counting.

Instead of thinking about it in terms of continuous/discontinuous, maybe try thinking about it in terms of does it literally look like a cube is there or not. In figure B for 64-66 I would assume that cube is there because even though you can argue both ways, I'd just assume that there is one because you can at least see part of it. I would hope that the DAT isn't this ambiguous though and really this kind of ambiguity only happens like one or two times out of all the possible cube counts in 10 Test CDP.

In terms of questions 70-72, I wouldn't assume a cube connects because the only hidden cubes are those that support other cubes. They specifically say this in the directions.

hmmmm also, i want to ask you guys about your experiences with hole punching

I draw a 4x4 grid and go from there, i get most of them right usually around 14-15//15 but the thing is, i take around 50-60 seconds per, sometimes even more which throw me behind

are there any strategies to go faster for hole punching?

Yes, Practice visualizing the folds. I was horrible at the begining. Go on to the setting where it has 2500 hole punching problems and start doing alot of them. Force yourself to visualize it even if it takes 2 minutes a problem. The more you do the faster it gets. It was taking me 15 minutes to finish it at first now it only takes me 4-5 minutes to finish hole punching because I just visualize it and its fast.

i dont think i have the 2500 setting, i only got the basic package

bah but enough PAT for today, on to bio and ochem, hardcore memorization -_-

question: i heard kaplan doesnt prepare well for bio, but how bout ochem?
