Hey Guys,

I need help. I know its late in the cycle but I just took my mcat and am now squirming and trying to get my primary out asap. I'm having some trouble with my work activities section. How detailed should I get? Should I simply say I tutored chemistry for 4 hours a week or should I add that I enjoyed being able to gain others' perspectives on those topics?

For summer internships should I also include that it helped clarify my aspiration to go into medicine?

Thanks a ton!:scared:

Yes and yes. Give details, write nicely, etc. Use the space you have. Adcoms will generally not have any other info about your activities, so give them all the information you can about their significance.

That is what I was told by an adcom. She said a lot of people make the mistake of just using bullet points or having very little information.

thanks, that's what I suspected- my bf applied last year but he didn't get too detailed- how does something like this look?

As an emergency room volunteer I was responsible for facilitating the registration process, providing patients with various amenities, and for assisting the faculty members to the best of my ability.(ETC- MORE DETAILS)Although my role and my ability to provide assistance was limited due to my volunteer status, my time was well spent for every shift furthered my desire to provide care for the ill and has indeed clarified my aspirations to pursue a career in medicine.

c'mon guys i really need ur help!:scared:

seriously, search through the thread i linked to. i didn't just do that because i enjoy hitting copy and paste; it's your best reference in this case. that's why that thread is so long-- because it has answers to and/or discussions about every imaginable question like yours.

Just describe what you did, its relevance to you, what you got out of it, etc. Don't write a novel on each, not that you can.
