Need help with research description

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hi folks,

I conducted a brief, semester-long research project (2 credits) during my junior year on tuberculosis pathogenicity (modes of infection, biochemical pathways involved, physiology behind their antibiotic resistance, reaction to immune response, etc.). The research was based on the findings of researchers on Pubmed, other online journals, and some of my school's science library's journals, My duties were pretty basic and involved reading through a lot of literature, analyzing results from the graphs/charts/tables, trying to reconcile any discrepancies between the data I found, and writing a 20-25 page report on it. This was not a wetlab project and did not involve any lab work.

Obviously this was pretty low-key and not something I attend to use as a focal point of my application, but can anybody clarify what kind of research work it is? Literature research? Theoretical research? Analytical research?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Sounds like a lit review to me.
