Need help with the EK Question stem technique for Verbal -- HELP!!

I have been doing what they say, read the passage, go back to it a day later, gather info from the question stems. But when i do this (1) I don't get nearly as much info out of it (2) I don't seem to use any info from the question stems when i am taking the test. Any advice would really really help. Thanks.
