I have a 3.94 GPA and this semester I am taking Precalculus, Sociology, Physiology, and General Chemistry II (16 credits).

I will admit: all of the semesters before I have only taken 12 credits, and I thought getting those A's were pretty doable (I actually got 100% total average in many of these classes because I had more free time, but I had to study pretty much 24/7 to be able to actually 100% everything. I did find it very difficult and time consuming. I pretty much had no life).

I'll probably get flamed by many SNDers on here because I studied so much for 12 credits, but I am being honest because I don't want to risk my dream of being a Physician to go away, and to also be realistic too. I wanted the 100's because I wanted the A.

This semester, I would love to 4.0 everything again---but my first Precalculus class was a few days ago, and we covered 60 pages of material in that one day. Chemistry I like, so it isn't that bad. Physiology I love too. Sociology isn't difficult. I try to make sure I know everything every week that we went over, but to be honest I don't think that will work anymore since so much is being covered in a 2 hour class. For example: I will say on x day, I will study x chapter and then move onto another subject. It's common that it will take a lot more than I thought it would for me to study everything in x chapter, so it almost ruins my plans of studying the other course as well.

Kind of just asking for advice. Do I need time management skills? Or maybe should I pursue another field since I do find it difficult to keep up with the pace?

Thanks.

Hone your time management skills. How are you structuring your time now? I used to plan out what I was covering in a weekly planner. For example, Monday would be: Orgo chapter 11, physics 16.1-16.3 problems, review discussion post for sociology, review class notes for stats, etc. You do have to make sure you're not spending an excessive amount of time on everything. Set a timer for each activity and try to stick to it. You don't need a 100% on everything.

Thank you for responding so quickly!

How many minutes do you spend doing each activity? The other day I did 3 sections for Precalculus and that took two hours. Yesterday I did Chemistry II and I think that took 1 hour and 30 minutes, as well as Precalc which probably took an hour or so. Physiology isn't bad, I know a lot of it because I read the chapters in advance to start of the semester. Sociology nothing has really happened with that class yet.
