I took the April MCAT and got 11v 10b 8p O. My GPA is 3.4. The schools I'm applying to are Drexel, Georgetown, Wake Forest, BU, Einstein, USUSH, and Temple.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for which schools I should apply to? I"m really worried that my physical science part of my MCAT is going to really hurt me.

Thanks

take a look in MSAR for each schools stats for accepted students..

try:

george washington, NY Medical College, Finch

BU is a waste of money

If you have great LORs and ECs, you would have a chance at any of those schools. My friend had similar GPA and MCAT scores and tons of ECs but didn't even get a secondary from Wake Forest or BU. But, she got into UWash. So, it's really a toss up. I think that you should look into the stats for each school but, you should apply anyway because you never know. I would also look at your state school. I know there is some kind of search engine out there that computes how competitive you would be compaired on your mcat, gpa and state of residence (it might be on the aamc website) at each school. That might give you some more ideas on where to apply.

If you are having trouble finding the website, PM me and I might be able to find it for you. Hope that helps.

Your stats are pretty good, though you might want to consider adding a few more schools. I wouldn't worry too much about the physical sciences score...you're far better off than the people who do poorly in verbal, because thats the area most pre-meds aren't so strong in 🙂

Borrow a copy of any current med school review book that has stats on their students; apply to EVERY private school that has numbers anywhere close to yours and doesn't have an in-state preference... I can think of a few off the top of my head: MCW, NYMC, Rosalind Franklin... hope that helps

Thank you for all your suggestions! SexyLexie I believe Ive seen that website somewhere before. I just wasn't sure how much to trust it or not.

I made another thread about this but I wasn't sure if it would play into factor that I took the MCAT with accomodations.
