Hi,
Thank you so much for all the help so far.

Could you pls tell me an easy way to find answer for this Q?

Q: Assuming that P 50= 26 torrs, under conditions where PO2= 30 torrs, the average number of O2 molecules bond per hemoglobin molecule is closest to

Ans:
1.O.5
2 Less than 1
3. Almost 2
4. Greater than 2
5. greater than 3

Thanks for your help.

hi
is it less than one

hi
the hb molecule has the capacity to carry 4 O2 molecules. so the 1st site is generally not considered and the affinity of the 2nd site is 50%, third is 75% and fourth is 97%. Thereby, the saturation point of blood has to be 50% for the 02 to attach to the second site on Hb.
