Hi friends,
I am canadian citizen and currently in first year of undergraduate degree (bachelor of science). I want to apply to a dental school after getting my degree. I have some general questions.
1) I looked up faculty of dentistry for UBC where they have specified that they only take UBC graduates in their dental school. Is that true??? I am at SFU...do I have to transfer to UBC if I want to go to UBC dental school??
2) Do dental schools (canadian) require any volunteer work like they do in medicine?? if yes, what kind of? do they more stress on the volunteer/extracurricular part or DATscores/GPA??
3) how long are the residencies (the range would do)??? what is the process after completing DDS/DDM ?? I mean, can we just start practicing after completing the degree or do we have to some kind of internship/upgrading/residency ??? I know this is a stupid question, but since I have nooo knowledge about this filed, help would be appreciated.
4) which is the top dental school in canada? usa?
