I got my physics teacher to write me a recommendation and I checked my premed office today, and the letter has arrived. But I forgot to write an email to say thank you.

So my question is, after you've verified that your premed office has recieved a recommendation, do you all normally write a thank you letter or email to the teacher? I feel wierd, because that letter was in a long time ago (30 days ago) and I havent said thank you yet. Isnt it a little too late to say thank you?

It's never too late to say thank you.

Also, I would go with a paper thank you, not an e-mail (unless this teacher is "one of those types").

A month isn't that long, so go ahead and send them a hand-written "Thank You" card.
