Hi Everybody,
First of all, I would like to thank all for making and running this great forum. Secondly, I am working on my 4th year of B.S in Aviation basically a pilot degree but recent events in my family has persuaded and inspired me to pursue a career in medicine(M.D.). I will have a bachelor degree next year, I was wondering where do I go from here. I know this has been asked many times but please I beg you, answer it one more time.

Here is my degree plan.

Please evaluate and give me some suggestions.
Greatly appreciate it,
Sandesh P.

You are right, sir, it has been asked many times before. Here's the quick rundown:

To get into medical school, you have to take science pre-requisites, prepare for and take the MCAT, and participate in extracurriculars (clinical experience, volunteering, non-medical volunteering). As others have suggested, get clinical experience NOW. See if what doctors *actually* do in real life is what you want to do for a few decades of your life, after spending one decade of your life in education/ training.

If it is, take two semesters each of

Chemistry w/ lab
Organic chemistry w/ lab
English
Biology w/ lab
Physics w/ lab

Also, you will have to take everything you learned from these, as well as supplemental MCAT material, meld it all together, practice the verbal selection (how is your reading comprehension?). All of this while maintaining a 3.5+ GPA.

And... go.
