Here is my situation: I went to a CA community college and transferred to UCLA. I became pre-med at UCLA when I only had two years left and I was an econ major, so I didn't have time to finish every single premed class because I had to finish all the econ too. The only classes that I have not taken yet that are prereqs for med schools I am applying to are General Chem lab, Organic Chem lab, and Biochemistry.
I am planning to take the mcat on may 1st and apply in June. I was wondering if the fact that I have not finished these classes will negatively affect my application. I plan on taking the classes this summer so they will be in progress during my application. I have a 3.66 GPA (3.73 sciGPA) and I am expecting a 35+ MCAT.
Also, if I take these classes in summer, will it look bad if I take them at a community college? Because I already graduated from UCLA and cannot take the classes there. Also if I take it at UCLA extension it will be really expensive. Is it necessary to take these classes at a certain school??
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
