Hello guys:
I'm new here and this is gonna be my first post although I've read a lot during a couple past weeks!!!!
Finally, I'm done with the DAT and any comments form you about my score as well as the schools I should consider will be really appreciated!!!
Here is my stat:
I'm basically a sophmore but I will be graduating next spring( considering that right now I have 70 credits and by end of this summer I will have about 85 and will take the rest on fall, winter and spring). and thats why I wanna apply for the 2010 cycle. So far I have a 4.0 science GPA and a 3.93 for the overall ( a couple B's on Political science and Graphic Design!!!!!) and i'm confident that I can get A's in all my summer classes ( I love summer!!!): I've been in a foriegn medical school for two years and passed over 70 credits in medicine such as 9 credits in human anatomy, 8 in physiology, 8 in bio chemistry,8 in epidomiology, 4 in embryology, histology, immunology, microbiology and virology, physics of medicine and some other courses. I could not transfer them to here but I will be sending a copy of my transcript from medical school to ADEA to let them know that i have taken those before but I don't know that this is gonna help me in any way. there are people who are saying that it will be in ur benefit becuase it says that you have a strong science background and others say that it is not going to look good as the school might think that why I wanna change from medicine to dental although i have a good explanation for that and will say it in my personal statement.
Here is my DAT score:
Biology:19
GC:21
OC:21
TS:20
PAT: 18
QR:19
RC:18
AA:20
I'm very upset with my performance on the exam. I just studied 4 weeks and was getting 23, 24,22 in my topscore AA but I don't know what happened. still I think it is not that bad and I have a chance to get in. I don't really have time to retake the test as I'm busy with the summer classes, so I will go with this result.
i'm applying for Maryland, VCU , pensylvania, Columbia, and NYU , but my best choice is maryland which is in my instate choice.
I heard that most applicants have eighter got their degree or have more than 90 credits at the time of application. Considering that I have about 70 right now, whoudn't it be a kind of disadvantage for me in terms of having less credits compare to other applicants eventhough I will be graduating next year?
I will really appreciate any comments that you might have about my chances to get accepted in any of those schools.
thanks

I think if you take lots of upper level science classes, it will counteract the lower number of credits.
have you gotten a bachelor degree yet? sorry if i missed since your post is long and i didn't finish reading the whole thing. I think most applicants have earned a bachelor degree before they enter d school.
and yes, be prepared to explained why you switched from medicine to dentistry.

I don't have my degree yet, but I will be getting my degree next spring if I take full time fall and spring next year. ( each semester about 18-19 credits). Do you think I have a chance to get in to Maryland or any other achools on my list?

yes you do. go ahead and apply.
