hi,
i have questions about dental school. my bro is applying to some dental schools 2 months ago, his science GPA is 3.98. total GPA is 3.89. DAT 17. would anyone please give me some advice. Does he need to retake DAT or should he wait until Dec 1? (he is sad and i dont want to see him like that. 🙁 )

He will most likely need to retake the DAT. It may be useful to provide more info about his application though...like a DAT breakdown, ECs, etc. Does he have any interviews?

Just from what you provided, he could get in with 17, but there is a chance he might have to retake it.
His grades definitely doesn't match with DAT scores.

Thanks for responding. The lowest score is the reading part, he got 16. he did pretty good on science part.

I would wait to see the outcome before he does anything. Because of his high GPA, it may very well offset the DAT score which is not really horrible to begin with. DP

You are such a nice sibling. Going out of your way to make a SDN account to help your brother. If he's applied already just ride out the cycle. If no interviews then apply again next year with hopefully a better DAT.
