Need some advice..

Out of curiosity, what courses did you take in that SMP?

If you did all those and have a 3.9, my advice would be to lock yourself in your room and work as many FL's as you can from now till test day to increase your chances of doing well. I mean do it within reason.

That SMP and the GPA looks good enough that I don't think applying late would affect your chances especially if you say you are applying as an URM.

I was at the Stratford campus a while back and they do ask you why DO so I'm assuming you like OMM or can talk about it in depth.

If you are top 10% in your class, doesn't Rowan get you an automatic interview at Cooper MD?

Gotcha. I know I shouldn't set a limit, but do you have any idea of what score I should at the very least feel content with before I go in? And as for OMM, I was able to watch a resident do a few OMM techniques where I work so I feel comfortable talking about that.

But nope, the program has a linkage with Rowan SOM (the DO school), not Rowan's MD school Cooper. If you have a 3.6 GPA in the program with 18 credits and at least a 500 MCAT score, you're guaranteed an interview.

As far as a specific score, your best bet is to call the admissions department of the schools you are applying to and get an idea of what they are looking for. They are pretty up front with that stuff regarding averages and cutoffs. As far as OMM, read "The DO's" by Gevitz. Based on my experience at Stratford, they really wanted to know why DO and not MD.

Since you have the GPA, just focus on getting that 500 and get that guaranteed interview.
