I was just wondering if I could get some advice on this. Here is my story...
I am just starting my second year and right now I think that I am really interested in doing pathology. Of course I am not completely sure that its what I want to do, but for the moment it seems like a good idea. My question is in regard to applying for residency. I've noticed that most people seem to be applying all over the country, and I'm not really sure that's going to be an option for me. Right now I live in Louisiana. My boyfriend lives in Idaho, and we are hoping to finally be able to be together when I move for residency. He is hoping to stay with his company (Verizon DSL) meaning he can move to places such as Houston, Tampa, California, and a couple places on the east coast. He will be making the jump from hourly to management, so the move won't be that easy. My worry is that say he ends up moving to Houston. How easy would it be to get a residency position in a particular city? I know I don't want to be apart from much longer. Things just seem so complicated. Any advice?
