So this is my third time around taking the DAT. First time i was just plain dumb. Second time around I studied my ass off and I think I did decent, but Had two scores that needed improvement. So this is my third time around taking this test, not sure if I can improve a second time around. Any advice or inspiration is greatly appreciated. Oh and i take this on the 15th if anyone was wondering.

Study hard...so you don't have any regrets, give it your all.

and remember during the test to stay calm.

good luck, rock the dat

have faith that theres a reason for everything that happens in ur life and that God is always there. keep ur head up cause this test will not determine who u r as a person or validate the fact that u want to be a dentist. no one can take that from u

Be self confident, be yourself, and don't doubt your capabilites. Don't get frustrated by seeing any hard questions on the test. I saw many difficult questions on my test, kept my clam, moved on and got back to them at the end of each section. Don't let any question make you frustrated + do your best on EVERY question no matter what. There was 20 seconds left for my QR section, and I mannaged to do one of the problems so fast [It was a statistics question] in those 20 seconds and get to the answer.
Good luck

must be stress or problems that you are feeling uninspired, you need full concentration and focus on one thing, the DAT..nothing else.
If you are addicted to some website that you have to log on and check it everyday,everyhour.... like facebook!!...deactivate it. 'cause i did.!
Have your cellphone on silent and just check it whenever you are done studying.
TV/ after you ar done studying.
think!!, you are only allowed to take the test total of 3 times , this is your last shot, gotta do good.

GL on your test.!!

omg! keliao literally took the words out of my mouth! those were the exact things i did!
deactivate facebook, putting your phone on silent, quitting other websites that i checked every hour...
also, i found telling people around me that i was studying for an important test to be very helpful. cause they offered words of encouragement and didn't call you to hang out every weekend..

Thanks so much for the words of encouragement. my biggest obstacle is really my family. i live with my parents and they have certain things they like me to do everyday. doing these things takes time, and then they want me to do good on this test and not waste time; its very hard to stay on track. i mean my bro says to stay at this other house i have for the three weeks i have left. but i mention this and my dad thinks i'm wasting time and just making excuses to go live somewhere else for the three weeks. he then blows his top and is like just leave and support yourself which i'm no where near doing financially yet. its tuff, but i guess i gotta find a way. i think the best option is moving out yeh?

how about asking your parents to drive you to a library every day? sit down with them and make a daily schedule so that you set aside time for what they want you to do and time for studying...
my parents wanted me to do well so they let me off the hook with the chores and stuff for the month....... try telling them that? (and hopefully your dad doesn't blow at the idea...... :S)
