Profile:
- High School Junior from Illinois
- GPA : 3.875
- ACT : 21 Composite/ 24 Math/ 22 Sci/ 19 Eng/ 17 Read - First Time Taking it with no prep and I took it 6 earlier than juniors normally would take it - Will Be Retaking
- I will meet a majority of course requirements (I'll have 4 Credits of English, 6 Math, 6 Science, 4 Foreign Language, 3.5 Social Studies, etc.)
Goal:
To Go to a midwest school and earn my PharmD degree in 6 Years. I want the most cost effective, quality education. And I dont want to transfer if possible. Even if i go to a 2+4.
Colleges I have looked at so far
St Louis College of Pharmacy - (0-6) - A Byotch to get into
Butler University - (Early Assurance)
Drake University (Early Assurance)
University of Iowa (2+4)
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (2+4)
...Anybody have any other suggestions for Midwest schools based on my Profile and Goal?
Questions:
- How difficult is it to get accepted to a Pharmacy school after 2 years of undergrad?
- Most 0-6 and Early Assurance Schools I have looked at are private schools and cost way more. Is the extra security worth the extra tuition?
- What are my chances of getting into the schools mentioned above? My ACT Score is ****ty (should raise a few points when I retake it), but will my GPA make help my chances of getting into a good school or does my ACT **** up those dreams?
- Any other advice before I embark on a 6+ Year, Multi Thousand dollar journey?
