So I interviewed at vanderbilt yesterday, and I felt that I was not as confident in my interview as I have been in others. The interview was scheduled in the morning before the introductions and curriculum information session and tour. During the interview I also felt that I may not have expressed my whole-hearted interest in the school, because I really fell in love with it during the day. I always think its hard to tell whether you like a school by its website. I want to send a thank you letter to my interviewer and also a letter to the dean of admissions saying that I really want to go here. My question to you, is it ok to include sentences like:

I felt that I was unable to express my sincere interest in Vanderbilt Medical School during the interview, but after listening to ____ speak about the curriculum and taking a tour of the school’s expansive facilities, I can honestly say that I have fallen in love with the school.

And then go on to say why I liked the school and how I feel I would excel there.

I really really want to go to the school and really wish my interview had turned out better, any advice on what else I could do?

Thanks

I wouldn't write a letter that sounds apologetic for a potentially bad interview -- you only serve to highlight that fact. And from your post, you don't seem sure you tanked it. Just say in your letters that you really loved the school. Leave out the clause which says "I felt that I was unable..." and just start the sentence with the post-comma clause "After listening to..." (If you really do want to refer to your interview performance, which I don't advise, I think it's better to start out that "I hope I was able to convey" rather than talking about your "inabilities" to express your interest.) That's my two cents -- hope it makes sense.
