Hi everyone,

So I have been fortunate enough to receive a handful of interviews this application cycle. Thus contributing to my senoritis. I have received interviews at UCSF, UOP, UPenn, and Tufts.

I recently received my midterm grade for my sociology class (upper division class for my major) and I received a C-/D+ on the test. It is worth 50% of my grade, with the other 50% being the final.

My question is should I try and salvage my grade and shoot for a B at best (with a very very high odds of getting a C) or should I withdraw from the course?

Also will getting a C or withdrawing from the course cause any of the schools I mentioned to rescind my acceptance(assuming I get in)?

Thank you for the advice. It is much appreciated.

Withdraw!!!! Or pass/fail. Actually, I would pass/fail. It is not a major requirement so you don't have to take it again. I can relate to your senoritis, I am coming down with a bad case of it as well

Hi, i am unable to pass/fail the course at this point. Problem is, i need to take this class before to graduate

If you past the deadline to pass/fail, your school might make an exception. It is worth a shot. My school does. The only class I ever pass/failed was after the deadline a week before the final. My dean's office let me. Go to your dean's office and ask and if it is too late, withdraw and retake it next semester. You don't want a c, and the thing is the material might build upon each other. The final might be harder than the midterm. GL

At my university, you could take an incomplete for the course, and retake it again the quarter/semester after. Maybe your school has something like that too? Good luck with whatever happens though
