Hi,

I am a recently graduated dentist from Pune, India.

I gave my nat brd part one in nov 05 and i got a score of 83, now is that a ok score or is it as bad as geting 80 or even failing for that matter.

Can i start applying to few colleges ? (NYU, UPENN etc) or shud i forget applying and start studying all over again ?

Does any one know someone who got in into a dental college with a score range of 80-83 ?

Id really appreciate all the advice i can get so it will help me plan the next step !

Thanks a ton everyone !

Hey dude,

Heartiest congratulations on your score. It may not be too high but at least you have a reasonably good one.

I would go ahead and take a shot with the schools that are not yet past the deadline. I believe UPenn,BU and NYU are still open.

Your resume is the one that will really decide if you will get in or not. Do you have any work experience/research/awards?

Have you thought of taking the exam again? You could take Part II to make your application stronger.

Hi
I would advice u to apply to universities. Who knows ur luck might just click. But at the same time remain mentaly prepared to give part 1 again. And since u gave it recently u must be thorough with the concepts.
By the way which place in pune u studied from. I did bds from BVP pune.
