need to major in science for post-bacc?

im thinking about doing post-bacc after graduation but i heard from my advisor that our school doesnt have science related field for post bacc so i would be under unclassified. is that okay? someone from this forum said that post-bacc gpa combines with undergrad gpa and i was wondering if thats true. for people that did post bacc, did you guys had to take praxis? our school requires us to take praxis for admission. please let me know!

oh one more thing. i think our school calls it post-doc. is that same as post -bacc?

Yes, it's fine to be unclassified. It essentially means you're taking classes without working toward a specific degree. The only thing that could really affect is your tuition cost (possibly).

Post-bacc classes that are undergraduate classes will combine with all your GPAs when you apply. I don't know what praxis is. You don't even need a major to take post-bacc classes, which you won't have as an unclassified student. Typically people do post-bacc classes in the sciences as a means of boosting their science GPA and better preparing them for the didactic portion of dental school

A postdoc is usually a temporary teaching/research position that is held after earning a PhD. Obtaining a postdoc position helps PhD's gain experience in their professional field while under the supervision of a mentor. Completing a postdoc can also help them obtain a better permanent job.
