I need to have a real talk here about possibly just accepting that I'm just not a competitive applicant. Sorry if this is considered a double post, I didnt include some important things in my life post and did not know how to delete it.
Whats counting against me:
-3.4 gpa (lower than i had thought)
-took 6 years to graduate (took several semesters off during which I did nothing)
-Only things I did during college were a summer volunteering at a hospital and a summer doing research (so did things only 2/6 summers, and 0/6 school years--no jobs, no EC's, no clubs)
-I will have retaken both gen chem 1 and gen chem 2
-I have a D on my transcript from my final semester in college
-I will not have finished all my prerequisites when im applying (which i assume is only "ok" if youre a strong applicant with good stats and a well rounded application)--I'll be one year out of college and still missing 4, maybe 5 prereqs when i apply
Pros
-i will be able to complete 100 hr volunteering and 150 shadowing before june
-i have 6 months to study for the DAT
-Hispanic female
Thank you guys. Again, sorry for double posting, I had a rough day and no one close to me to have a real discussion about this.
