Hello, I'm a graduating senior majoring in biology deciding on my last semester of classes. My grades are not stellar..so I'm trying to do better on my DATs to make up for it. Here's my dilemma:

I know that most dental schools need 1 year of chemistry and 1 year of biology classes. Unfortunately, I received a C- in the introductory biology class at my college (that does not seem to be a grade satisfactory for the prerequisite requirement for most dental schools). Therefore, I only have one semester of biology accounted for and planned on using my biochemistry course to make up for it. However, I originally wanted to use my biochemistry score for my second semester of introductory chemistry.

Currently I have two options:
1) Re-do the introductory biology class. Pro: To do better and show dental schools I am eligible; con: the score will not replace my C-...so I'm not sure how to input it when I apply next cycle.
2) Take a upper division organic chemistry course. Pro: Make up for the last semester of chemistry; con: It seems like a difficult upper div! I also want to take my DATs again in a few months, so I want to focus more on a better score...

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give me some advice. All is appreciated...so Thank you for your time! 😍

If you got a C-...you should retake. I would also take an upper level as well.
