Hi everyone,
So I'm a college senior, business major, I always wanted go to medical school but now I'm finally following through with it. Anyway, right now I have a 2.9 overall GPA (I failed one course, but I'm retaking it for an A) and I've only taken one science course (bio 1) and got a B (I had the hardest prof in the bio dept). Obviously right now my chances at med school are bad because of my GPA, but by the time I graduate it should be between a 3.1-3.3 range.
I have 3 more semesters before I graduate from undergrad, the science classes I have to finish are:
Calc 1
Physics 1 and 2
Chem 1 and 2
Orgo 1 and 2
Anatomy/Physiology 1 and 2 (in the process of finishing that now)
Biochem
I guess right now I'm just looking for a little hope. Is there any hope for anyone who has a lower GPA? Would doing a post-bacc/grad program help me a lot?
What steps should I be taking to strengthen my chances?
Thanks for any help!
