I been a cvs intern for the past year and as a P2 i am getting paid $13 an hour. The other week Rite Aid had intern interviews at my school and I interviewed mostly for practice than anything else however they ended up calling me and offering me the internship at 15$/hour after asking me how much I was getting payed at CVS. I dont want to switch CVS right now especially after taking a year to learn the system but then the 2$ difference is making me think. I want to email my supervisor and let them know I got an offer from Rite Aid for 2 dollars more and if they could match my offer at CVS but im not sure if intern pay is structured and it might not be up to the supervisor. Anyone has any input.

These days, I'd say just shut up and take what they are offering. If you don't like it, they'll just tell you to quit and hire one of the thousands of pharmacy students looking for intern jobs.

PS: CVS pay is structured and they won't budge about it. I used to work for CVS until the end of my P2 year when Costco offered me an intern position for like $5/hr more than CVS so I jumped ship.

I've never heard about being able to negotiate anything anymore. The job market is really bad, so they have us over a barrel because it's so hard to find work.

The job market is so tight that your boss will probably tell you to take it or leave it. You can't negotiate in a surplus.

Interns aren't exactly in the position to negoatiate. There are handfuls of other students who will work for your current pay.

You seem to prefer working at CVS since you haven't taken the RA job yet. What's worth more to you, an extra $2/hour now or working for your preferred company upon graduation?
