No such thing as a neonatal surgeon. You mean a pediatric surgeon?

As noted, there is no such thing. The lifestyle of a pediatric surgeon is a lot of work but tremendous sense of accomplishment. You will spend a whole lot of nights in the hospital and operating room. But, you knew that going into it as while doing your general surgery residency you rotated in pedi surg and figured it out. You were also really good at what you do as pedi surg is extremely competitive to get a fellowship. The salary is plenty to allow you to go sailing or boating in your few free hours in your new sailboat or motorboat. It is not enough to allow you to buy a large yacht.
