If anyone took the NERBs last year how on Earth did you study for the dental simulated clinical exam. What material would be useful. Anything you tell me is appreciated. Thanks.

NERB EXAM (DSCE)
NEW YORK/NEW JERSEY AREA

would you like to join me in a class just for NERB review?
course taught by a doctor from columbia university.
must pay-cost goes down if more people attend.
with one buddy-$1000 each
with two buddies-$750
the more the merrier. and the more the cheaper.

PLEASE RESPOND ASAP.
I NEED TO KNOW BEFORE OCTOBER FIRST.

The best way is to get the old NERB exams. I took mine last year and over 80% were repeats. My dental school train us for NERB so well that it's to the extent that old exams were even posted on its website.

would u like 2 join me 2 attend a review class ? pls. reply asap if interested. this is my second time to post this i'm not sure if the first one went thru.

The book that I used to prepare was the Norman Wood book. If you review this book, you should pass the written portion of the exam quite easily. The last edition was published in 1999. Good luck.

Is this the book ," Differential diagnosis of oral lesions " by norman K wood and paul W goaz .
what is the difference between the 4th (1991) and the 5th (1997) edition ?

thanks

The name of the book is Review of Diagnosis, Oral Medicine, Radiology, and Treatment Planning--Fourth Edition by Norman K. Wood. Good luck. If you want to really be prepared, I would also glance at the prostho and perio dental decks. That should be more than enough. Good luck.
