Velocity of nerve impulse conduction in a sensory nerve fiber is related to:
a: intensity of the stimulus
b: presence of a mylein sheath
c: nature of applied stimulus
d: cross-sectional area of the axon

the answer listed is D. Is this correct? I am under the impression that diameter of the nerve fiber and presence/absence of myelin sheathe are the two factors that influence velocity of impulse conduction.

yes the ans id cross-sectional area of axon.Coz when you increase the cross sectional area,the velocity increases.
