Can somebody explain this one to me?
Net ionic equation for:
HCl (aq) + NaOH (aq) -> H2O (l) + NaCl (aq)
Answer is: H3O+ (aq) + OH (aq) -> 2H2O (l)
What I'm confused with is where did the H3O come from, and how did H2O get from one equivalent to two?
Thanks
