The flash cards have a brief info on the back and organized into sections. It can be helpful but not much, imo. For practical exams, just spend time in the lab and Netter book. There's another thin head&neck book but I forgot the name. The Gross Anatomy Board Series Review book is another helpful book for gross exams.Dentist 2 be said:Are the Netter's Anatomy Flash Cards helpful for gross anatomy? For the board, the flash cards are not adequate. So I guess the answer to your question is no 🙂
When it came to preparing for the gross practicals I found McMinn's Color Atlas of Human Anatomy to be far more helpful than anything from Netter. That opinion was shared by all my classmates who bought McMinn's, though I should mention that is still a small sample size so YMMV.
Are you including the Dental Decks in that statement?lnn2 said:The flash cards have a brief info on the back and organized into sections. It can be helpful but not much, imo. I used them heavily and ended up with a 96 on the lab portion of the course. I also used the Color Atlas of Human Anatomy ISBN# 0-7817-3194-1. These should help.
Yes. For the board part 1, the minimum requirements are Dental Decks and Oldies. Don't believe it when people say "oh, I just read the dental decks for just a week and I passed" They're just blowing smoke up your you-know-what!adamlc18 said:Are you including the Dental Decks in that statement?
Because part I does not have many repeated questions, it's important that you need to understand both the wrong & correct answers. New questions are in the same format but not identical. It's imperative that you have to study the oldies, imo.
I like the cards. They are helpful to prepare for the lab portion. I also use it for the board study. Can't always carry that big old netter around.
